First an aerospace engineer then into IT early on. Started in tech support progressing into network and server management, later switching to service delivery and project/programme management. Work in the NHS started in 2005 with a Strategic Health Authority then later with Primary Care Trusts, a Commissioning Support Unit, the Department of Health, general practice and acute hospital trusts. I founded Spanswick in 2012.
Today, with 6 years of experience within the health care industry which has included becoming an improvement fellow with the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC), I have been able to build upon these principal skills with roles in the areas of Project management, Digital Strategy and Business Case development, all whilst being constantly alert to the business and patient outcome.
